Custom louvers were installed in front of the south windows.  Three sections of louvers correspond with the three window bays, with each louver spanning approximately thirteen feet.  The louvers are at a 38 degree angle, which allows a maximum solar gain during the winter while providing the maximum amount of shade in the summer.
